I have the honour to invite your attention
to the a tached copy of a letter and its enclosure which were
sent to you on the 29th. November, 1900, on the subject of the
rate of exchange for the payment of pensions out of the Widows
and Orphans' Pension Fund to persons residing in a Gold using
Country.
As the question is very important, and one
on the result of which several pensions are now awaiting payment
I am directed to request that you will be so good as to favour
this Government with your views and those of your colleagues on
the subject at an early date.
